Combine the contents of 1 pack with 1 liter ultrapure water. A 1X solution contains 10mM Sodium Phosphate, 1.8mM Potassium Phosphate, 137mM Sodium Chloride, 2.7mM Potassium Chloride, pH ~ 7.4. PBS is used in many biological applications and assays to maintain pH, dilute biological materials and as a wash solution for common immunostaining applications including western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence.
